How to get the Perfect Ring Size
A simple guide for comfort, accuracy, and confidence
Choosing the perfect ring is exciting, but getting the right ring size is just as important as the design itself. A properly sized ring feels comfortable, stays secure, and looks exactly how it should on the hand.
Whether you’re shopping for yourself or choosing a ring as a gift, this guide will walk you through the most accurate ways to find the right ring size at home.
Why Ring Size Matters
A ring that’s too small can feel tight and uncomfortable, while a ring that’s too large may spin or slip off. Even a half size can make a noticeable difference, especially for eternity bands and diamond rings designed for everyday wear.
That’s why we recommend taking a few minutes to measure carefully before placing your order.
Option 1: Use Our Printable Ring Sizer (Most Accurate)
The easiest and most reliable way to find your ring size at home is by using a printable ring sizer.
How to Use the Printable Ring Sizer
- Download and print the ring sizer at 100 percent scale
Do not select “fit to page” or resize when printing. - Cut out the sizing strip along the dotted line.
- Wrap the strip around your finger
Make sure it sits comfortably at the base of the finger where the ring will be worn. - Check the measurement
The arrow will point to your ring size when the fit feels snug but not tight. - Double-check the fit
Your finger should be able to bend comfortably, and the strip should slide over the knuckle without force.
Pro Tip
If you’re between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size, especially for wider bands or eternity rings.
Option 2: Measure a Ring You Already Own
If you already have a ring that fits well:
- Place the ring on a ruler, measuring tape, or compare it to the circles on our chart.
- Measure the inside diameter in millimeters.
- Compare your measurement to a standard ring size chart.
This method works best when measuring a ring worn on the same finger you'd like to wear your new ring on.
Pro Tip #2
Your finger size can change slightly throughout the day.
For best results:
- Measure when your hands are at a normal temperature.
- Avoid measuring early in the morning or late at night.
- Do not measure right after exercise or exposure to heat.
Tips for a Perfect Fit
- Wider bands often feel tighter than thin bands.
- Cold weather can make fingers slightly smaller.
- Warm weather can cause fingers to swell.
- Measure more than once to confirm accuracy.
For eternity rings and diamond bands, comfort is especially important since these styles are designed for daily wear.
